Thought process
Jerry
Following the news of Jerry's passing, which deeply affected many students, we decided to integrate a cat-like structure into our bot as a tribute to Jerry's memory. This structure serves as a comforting reminder of Jerry and provides students with a way to relax by patting the bot.
Night Lamp
Inspired by our admiration for cute light lamps that glow in different colors, we decided to incorporate this idea into our design.
Talking Tom
Bringing back memories of an iconic childhood game, the cat who talks back! Tom can repeat after you, play with you, and make you laugh. Incorporating the idea of Talking Tom can evoke nostalgia and add fun to the experience.
Mobility
To ensure our prototype could move freely instead of being stationary, we opted to add wheels to our design.
Personality Change
We were intrigued by the idea of conversing with different personalities to keep interactions engaging for students. Understanding the opportunity for extended engagement and exploration with each personality, we integrated this concept into our design.
